Director, Architecture
Job Description:
The Director, Solution Architecture defines automation solutions to be used in the implementation of Fidelity's digital automation platform.
Fidelity has a strategic objective to digitize and automate client interactions and operational processes.
You will architect automation solutions in support of the migration to Fidelity's new Digital Automation Platform to connect our digital and operations worlds.
This role will architect solutions and recommend tool selection for end-to-end business process automation.
After architecting solution patterns, the Director, Solution Architecture will partner with BPM Developers to build an executable backlog and implement the designed solutions.
The Director Solution Architecture plays a key role in defining re-usable solution patterns to common business problems, inventorying shared needs across the enterprise, and create scalable enterprise grade solution frameworks to tackle them.
You will then champion these enterprise grade solution patterns to promote acceleration of digitization for Fidelity.
As an APS Solution Architect, you blend extensive technical, engineering, and design expertise with a passion for influencing and collaborating with others.

The Team we work in is a highly matrixed operating environment, aligned within the Firm's agile operating model and working with key business partners.
As an APS Solution Architect, you will work with fellow technologists and business partners to blend extensive business, engineering, and design expertise with a passion for influencing and collaborating with others to ultimately deliver value to our clients and customers.
The end-to-end solution architecture will be reviewed by senior management, business partners, ARB, and TAG for approval.
Clear communication is required to deliver the message to developers all the way up to senior leaders.
The Expertise You Have:
Computer Science College Degree required.
Ten years or more of Solution Architecture, Software Development, or BPM Camunda a plus.
Five years or more working in a team focused on solution architecture.
Familiarity with low-code application development tools and industry-standard Business Process Modeling and Notation are a plus.
Agile Experience a plus.

Coordinated architecture that incorporates design thinking, bringing people, process, technology & capabilities together in cohesive designs.
Application and Technical Expertise in Workflow and Orchestration Systems, as well as related digital capabilities.
Experience performing both with Agile and functional delivery teams.
Strong communication skills and ability to work across the enterprise to interact, influence and negotiate with all levels of management.
Ability to empower and influence others with limited organizational authority.
Experience developing and advising business and enterprise architecture standards and methodologies.

Collaborate with functional business teams, technical architects, and Agile leaders to assess & develop comprehensive design solutions for complex business improvement opportunities that span the organization.
