Overview PURPOSE The Plant Manager is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction for plant operations.
Additionally, ensuring sustainable performance is aligned with business objectives, values, and guiding behaviors while delivering on business commitments.
Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
Proactively represent Holcim with the community, customers, and various governmental agencies.
Function as a driver for change management in plant organization.
Propose and execute capital expenditures maximizing value to the operation and consistent with a low cost strategy; while maintaining accountability for proposed 'value added' return.
Utilize performance management processes and tools to manage performance and development of direct reports and their teams; play an active role in development of future leaders.
Deliver on operational and cost results.
Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and quality production.
Implement strategies consistent with the company's vision and business plan.
Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS Reports to the Manufacturing VP, West Region Works closely with the Manufacturing team for US Manufacturing and Safety organization Works closely with local Marketing Manager, Human Resources, Logistics, Geocycle, Environmental & Land Manager and Government Affairs Works closely with Maintenance, Purchasing, and Quality to schedule equipment operation, cleaning and downtime.
Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Required Education:
Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree or years of equivalent experience.
Additional Education Preferred:
Master's degree Required Work
Experience:
7-10 years Travel Requirements :
20% Additional Requirements :
Management-level and cement industry experience.
Knowledge of ISO standards and certification process.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
