Payroll Administrator/Sr. Administrative Assistant

There is a job opening in the Finance Division for a Payroll Administrator/Sr. Administrative Assistant.
This position requires our candidate to be very dependable and reliable; one where they will need to apply organizational rules, policies and procedures, commitments and consistently meet deadlines.
They will be performing duties that require a high level of organization, confidentiality and prioritization. The right candidate will be required to keep track of a number of details to ensure their work is performed accurately and completely. Previous experience with Sage Abra Suite Software or other payroll systems will be a plus.
The right candidate will also need the ability to be flexible and adaptable, open-minded, and have a team player attitude. This position requires a cooperative working relationship with numerous team members, and needs to effectively communicate with those team members.
The applicant may be asked to handle difficult and differing situations/multiple tasks, and other assignments as directed by the CFO.

Payroll administration
Computer competency in MS Office Suite
Word Documents, Excel (high level experience)
Excellent grammar & spelling skills
Typing skills (50
wpm)
Customer Service Skills
Ten-key skills
Math skills
A minimum of two years payroll experience is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
